Dear :

I am writing to tell you about an Indiegogo Campaign I am supporting.  As a part of the campaign, supporters are being asked to tell 5 others about it to help spread the word.  The campaign seeks to use art in the form of a song/video and paperback book perk to raise money for “No Kid Hungry”, the not- for-profit you may have seen ads for (with Jeff Bridges) on TV.  It is estimated that 9m children in the US live in food insecurity.

The song is about the idea of each child having her/his/their own song to discover, to nurture, and over time, to keep coming back to as a sort of true north in becoming themselves instead of what they may be told by others to become.  Helping children who live with food insecurity seems to be in line with the song’s theme:  hard to become who you might be if you haven’t enough to eat.  Moreover, the hope is that parents and teachers who have or interact with children who do not live with food insecurity that they can help children who don’t have enough to eat simply through experiencing art.

All funds raised — after Indiegogo platform and related credit card fees, and for those who choose to qualify for a paper back book perk the “at cost” expenses of printing, shipping/handling and tax — go to No Kid Hungry.

Thank you for giving this a read, and considering helping out by joining the campaign and telling others about it.

Sincerely,
