Intergenerational Food Insecurity

A 2018 study titled “The Intergenerational Transmission of Food Security: A Nonparametric Bounds Analysis” by Craig Gundersen, Brent Kreider, and John V. Pepper, uses partial identification methods and data from the Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID) to analyze the causal transmission of food security across generations. The study finds that food security rates are positively correlated across generations.
